Welcome to Joshua's Journal! This is the journal of Joshua Collette. Josh was born on February 4th, 1999. Prenatal testing showed that Josh had some issues with his right kidney and intestinal tract. Those only turned out to be the beginning! Joshua was born with his intestines in 8 pieces, a right kidney that was not connected to his bladder, malformations of his heart, and a serious brain condition called Microcephaly with Simplified Gyral Pattern (MSG). The doctors involved with Joshua during his first few days (and there were plenty of them!) did not expect him to survive long. In fact they prepared us that he wouldn't make it past the first few days. We didn't give up and neither did he. Joshua's story is one of inspiration and we feel that he can inspire so many that we had to capture his story for others. From this came the creation of Joshua's Journal. So first... we have to introduce you to the star of the show....
